Hello Arlizia,

You are absolutley right! Integers are positive and negative numbers that lie on a number line. Positive numbers lie on the left side of the number line and are greater than 0. Negative numbers lie on the right side and are less than zero. Negative integers are used to measure temperature, under sea level, and debt. Debt is how much money you owe. For example, lets say your mom purchased groceries totaling \$40, but she only has \$38 dollars available in her account. She has overdrawn her account by 2 dollars. This is represented by -2.

# Math Limerick

Question: Why is this a mathematical limerick?

( (12 + 144 + 20 + 3 Sqrt) / 7 ) + 5*11 = 92 + 0 .

Answer:

A dozen, a gross, and a score,
plus three times the square root of four, divided by seven, plus five times eleven, is nine squared and not a bit more.
