I'm staring face to face with this petite woman who tells me something that I will never forget, "Your son is the most honest and caring little boy I know and her eyes swelled up with tears." You…Continue
I guess I'll start it off by sharing my most memorable experience I've had with one of my student's parents. This particular encounter happened 4 years ago and can you believe it I remember it like…Continue
Wanda Collins has not received any gifts yet
Hello, My name is Wanda Collins. I am a teacher and devoted mother of three beautiful children: Camia(7), Ciara(5), and Chris, Jr.(2). I love life, being spontaneous, reading, learning new things, and staying busy. My favorite pastime is browsing the internet while eating a snack. I am currently pursuing an M.B.A at Nova Southeastern University.
I have been in education for the past 9 years and I am passionate about teaching. Although teaching is extremely rewarding, I sometimes find myself frustrated with the lack of resources at my disposal as well as my limitations in the classroom(55 minutes of class instruction time given). I created Math Concentration so teachers could share best practices and provide free/low cost resources like budget effective activities, incentives, math centers, classroom management strategies etc.
In addition, Math Concentration was created to provide free tutoring and homework help to middle school students struggling with math. We offer homework help forums, groups, and an online classroom tutoring equipped with a virtual whiteboard. During our online class session, students can ask questions via chat or call in with our meeting number. You can schedule a tutoring session Mon-Fri from 7pm-9pm
I look forward to collaborating with you!

I say this because when you make a mistake during your growing up stages which I believe we are constantly growing it is bound to happen be it in your relationship, parenting, job, etc. You should learn from…Continue
When are we ever going to use this in the real world? Is this going to be on the test? The list could go on and on. I'm already prepared not only with a response but my lesson plan relates math to the real world so they know I'm not just saying it to be saying it but I have justified my answer with real world examples. Many of my lessons have come from the following websites focused on empowering students by connecting math to the real world...…Continue
