The Hardwood Forest Foundation wants to further education to keep people informed about the benefits of hardwood trees as a renewable resource. In order to keep this industry alive, they fund an annual scholarship of $1500 and 14 scholarships of $1000 each to winners who show through an essay how they will include lessons on “The Truth about Trees,” in their classrooms. These scholarships for education majors are available to seniors in a Bachelor of Education program, or master or doctoral students.
